Harbor Opening - Whale Migration - Troop Support
If you happen to visit in the spring, come take a boat tour out in Resurrection Bay to the beautiful Kenai Fjords National Park and watch the annual migration of the whales as they come back from Maui. This is also a time the community honors its military by hosting various events and fishing derbies for the military and their families.  Opening weekend usually is accompanied with music, food and other fun.  These happenings are usually in May.  A halibut fishing derby is also held during this time.

4th of July and Mount Marathon Race
A fireworks display along the waterfront during the light of midnight starts off Seward's signature event which hosts thousands over the July 4th weekend to more events and happenings than you can count.  The annual Mt.
