The City of Seward works to provide improvements for hard-working small and large businesses in the Harbor area. New in 2017, five dedicated spaces along the east or front row on the Center Parking lot are reserved for service vehicles who need access to Harbor businesses and boats. These spaces are reserved Sunday through Saturday, from 8 am to 5 pm, for vehicles which may be larger than the regular Center Parking lot spaces allow. Some service vehicles may exceed 19 feet or seven-feet wide. The permit MUST be displayed to park here. All other vehicles may park here between 5:01 pm and 7:59 am, but may NOT exceed the posted, two-hour maximum time length.
Vehicles from which 'service' work is conducted, such as on-site plumbing, mechanic or on-board boat or business work. Though the Center Parking regulations limit vehicles over 19 feet in length, special "Service Vehicle" permits may be purchased for service rigs for vehicles NOT to exceed
