Hello PACAB subscribers,
City Council is seeking applications from those interested in serving on PACAB. There are three seats expiring at the end of July 2026. [Jaffa, Schutter, and Altermatt] These new terms will be for 2.5 years and are set to expire in January of 2029. [Thus making a shift to January as the month for term expirations]
PACAB consists of seven residents of the City of Seward and, general Seward area spanning from Lowell Point to the Tern Lake Junction on the Seward Highway, who shall be appointed by the council. At least four seats shall be filled by residents inside Seward city limits. If there are no city residents applying, council may consider filling the seats with non-residents.
PACAB meets on the third Wednesday of each month at noon. PACAB’s powers and duties include making recommendations to the city council concerning the design and coordination of projects to promote and develop transportation, trade, energy, commerce, and related infrastructure throughout Seward. There are no PACAB meetings during the summer hiatus of June, July, and August. For more information see Seward City Code 2.30.310 or email clerk@cityofseward.net
