Per City Code: “Filing for elective offices of mayor or council shall be made by filing a declaration of candidacy with the city clerk from August 1, 8:00 a.m. through August 15, 5:00 p.m. Should August 15 be a Saturday or Sunday, then candidates shall have until noon on the first Monday following to file their declarations.”
