The Seward Police Department is dedicated to providing honest, efficient, and effective Law Enforcement Services.
We are committed to providing the highest quality of service, preserving human rights, lives and property, and working in partnership with our citizens to meet the challenges of reducing crime and encouraging voluntary compliance with all laws.

The Seward Police Department is a member of the Kenai Peninsula Crimestoppers and the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
History
The Seward Police Department was established on June 18, 1912. The department dispatches for the Seward Volunteer Ambulance Corp, Seward Volunteer Fire Department, Lowell Point Volunteer Fire Deprartment, and other Seward city departments. The Seward Police Department is the hub in emergency situations, coordinating all emergency services and civil defense within the Seward City Limits.

UPDATE: 2/20/26 0534 With the exception of Saltwood Smoke everyone should have power restored. Saltwood smoke may take another couple of hours. If you are still without power (except for Saltwood Smoke) please call the dispatch non-emergency line (907) 224-3338 so the electric crew can be notified. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// UPDATE: The North bound lane is clear of power lines. However, it is not clear of debri from the tree that fell. The electrical department will be working to reatore power and clear the road. If you decide to pass through while they are working please do so cautiously and with regard for their safety. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// There is a downed power-line crossing the road on the corner near the former Pit Bar. The road is not passable. The electric department is already on scene and working to get the road cleared and the power restored. Until further notice there will be no traffic through that area. Exit Glacier is good. Nash Road is good.
